The Warehouse is currently facilitating a process for the Every Nation Cape Town congregations to enable them to reimagine and plan their social transformation activities. The process is praxis-based and assists participants in discerning their particular call in responding to God’s justice. In our latest time together, we immersed ourselves in the city, in what we have come to refer to as a ‘mobile classroom’ — an experiential learning space where we allow various physical spaces in the city to inform our understanding, theology and practice. As part of this session, we spent time in Rondebosch, Delft and District 6, walking and learning from the places and their people. The day was framed by the story of Jesus entering the city of Jerusalem and weeping over it, and we explored the connections between this story and the story of our city, and unpacked what Jesus’ response might be today.
